The Minute Maid National Spelling Bee continues to inspire students across Belize to strive for excellence in language arts, critical thinking, and personal discipline. Through their dedication, perseverance, and hard work, participants demonstrate the remarkable potential of Belize's young people.

As a long-standing supporter of educational initiatives throughout Belize, Heritage Bank was honored to once again partner with the organizers, sponsors, educators, and families who make this prestigious national competition possible. The Bank recognizes the dedication, discipline, and perseverance demonstrated by every participant throughout the competition.

Heritage Bank Completes 21st Home Through House Build Initiative

Heritage Bank Limited, in partnership with Hand in Hand Ministries, proudly completed its 21st home through the House Build Initiative, a program dedicated to providing safe and stable housing for families in need.

Since its launch in 2017, the initiative has transformed lives by bringing together Heritage Bank staff and community partners to build homes for deserving families. This year's recipient was Ms. Shanice Castillo, a hardworking single mother who actively participated in the three-day build alongside Heritage Bank staff and other volunteers from April 24–26, 2026.

Ms. Castillo's enthusiasm and determination inspired everyone involved as she worked side by side with the team, helping to construct the home that will provide a brighter future for her family.

The House Build Initiative reflects Heritage Bank’s ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility and community development. It serves as a reminder that meaningful change can be achieved when individuals come together to support one another. The gratitude and happiness expressed by the families who receive these homes continue to inspire volunteers and reinforce the value of the program.
